Description
Lovely secluded woodland in an almost hidden valley close to the centre of Newcastle. Your dog can run freely (except at the children's zoo) with woodland and over a mile of footpaths.

GPS coords for Castle Farm car park: 55.0004, -1.5960 The Jesmond Dene cafe (0191 281 5010) has cakes, coffees and tasty snacks. (This info was sent in, but when we visited we couldn't find it. There are little shops a short way down the road for picnic supplies, and a cafe.)
Walk
There are two walks in and around Jesmond Dene: The History Trail (2 miles) starts at Castle Farm Bridge and ends in Heaton Park, taking in the historically significant parts of Jesmond Dene. The Nature Trail (3 miles) focuses on the flora and fauna in Jesmond Dene.
