Easy to reach from the A40, this is such a good place to stop. The dog and the kids have the chance to run on the grass or take a cooling dip in the river, and the pub has its own soft play bus for youngsters and dogs are welcome too.  The river is a popular get-in for canoes, kayaks and SUPs so a stop here feels like a mini-break!
