Langold Country Park dog walks, Nottinghamshire

Description

Covering nearly 300 acres, Langold Country Park is a popular dog walking site for local residents, and has a good mix of manicured lawns, rougher dog romping space and a lake.

Details

Free parking. WC+disabled.

Refreshment kiosk, cafe, children's play area - and splashing. Dog poo bins.

Walk

There are a number of clearly signed walks within the park: the Lakeside walk (orange), the Old Sidings Walk (blue) and the “Long Wood” walk (green). The paths are clear and well maintained.

We took Jem on the lakeside walk, a circular trail which took in surrounding meadows as well as the lake, where he really let off some steam.

Doggy lake swim

Really big site, it was incredibly popular with families when we went there as there is a a big children’s playground with water fountains. The car park was packed. Past the children’s play area is a huge lake with a walking path around it, the dog enjoyed a swim in the lake. We only stopped for a short while but I noticed a few signs around directing you to dog walking routes through the woods which looked nice. Overall a very nice stop just a shame it was so packed!
