Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Lerags dog walk near Oban, Scotland

A gloriously remote Forestry Commission area, with endless space for hounds to bound and big views over to Mull on a good day. Remember to take water (and picnic) with you!

GPS coords for car park: 56.3780, -5.4768  You may be able to get coffees and use the facilities at the Cologin Chalets.

There's a waymarked 2 mile trail from the car park, and plenty of opportunity for meandering and just enjoying the space.

Walk the dog, watch the buzzards, spook the odd deer (there are pinemartens but you won't see them with a dog in tow) and enjoy the views once you have climbed up to the summit of Cruach Lerags. And then, best of all, you can have a pint and something to eat in the BARN - the pub onsite at Cologin chalets.
