Walk

There are two possible walks in this spacious country park.

For facilities and family entertainment, the first walk starting from the car park on Weald Road has plenty to offer, as well as good in-park walking.

The second walk starts at the car park on Lincolns Lane and is a delight for dogs, but with no facilities for people. The wide open space here is very popular with local dog walkers, and their very sociable hounds. Jem got swept into the canine equivalent of a Sunday 5-a-side football session, and spent a frantic half hour careering around with his new found mates.

Otherwise, from the car park, take a stroll down to the lake at the foot of the hill – note that there is a road on the far side.

Disabled Facilities

Wheelchair accessible, disabled toilets are available in, or close to each carpark.

As a whole the Country Park has a wide choice of both flat and undulating mowed grassland which can be used by Power Wheelchair, or ordinary Mobility Scooter owners. Manual wheelchair users with good upper body strength or a enthusiastic 'pusher' would also enjoy this wide expanse.  However, there is only one made up pathway (off Lincolns Lane) and mostly the park is not suitable for wet weather/winter use, unless you have the use of an All Terrain Tramper Scooter available  from the Visitor Centre.

Information for wheelchair users provided by Mo Aegerter, with grateful thanks.
