Marden Park is now owned and maintained by the Woodland Trust. The North Downs Way runs through the wood, but for a shorter stroll, take any path from the parking area leading downhill through the woods and you will soon reach a lush grassy meadow. The paths here are easy to follow, and the birdsong and wildlife rustlings in this unspoiled wood is a delight. Interestingly, Marden Park was once owned by the conductor Sir Adrian Boult and it doesn't seem too far-fetched to imagine him conducting an imaginary orchestra in the trees. The paths here are easy to follow, and the birdsong and wildlife rustlings in this unspoiled wood is a delight. Areas of lovely moss covered fallen branches / trees, very fairyland like! Dogs will really go for the chance to sniff some doggietastic scents here.
