Good one

Firstly, when looking for this trust your sat nav and ignore the signs for Tortworth Court as it's a hotel.

Just passed the turning for the hotel is a sign for a left turn to the farm shop and cafe. We parked at the cafe and takeaway car park and walked through and had a good and tasty lunch.

We were slightly baffled by the instructions as we couldn't see the church (it's a couple of hundred yards along the road) but finally sussed it and started walking.

Just after the two unusual "castellated" houses either side of the road we spotted a metal stile with "Public Footpath" on it.

We followed this and it leads diagonally across a coupe of fields before joining up with the walk shown on the website.

We didn't have time for the whoe walk but across the fields and back took almost half an hour which was fine and, with no stock in the fields, gave good off lead running for Buster!

On the way back we bought an excellent pork pie and two frozen home made meals fro the farm shop; perfect for our late return home!

Only a few minutes from the motorway - we will certainly return

Perfect stop

We stopped here mainly to give our dog’s legs a little stretch. We had a long journey ahead so the path we found was perfect. Beginning of the walk from the services car park is on grass so make sure you’ve got suitable footwear if it’s a wet day. Great dog walk signage too and plenty of poo bins. The services definitely cater for animal lovers.

Lovely Walk

Great for giving dogs a good stretch of their legs if they’ve been in the car a while. Some livestock in fields but dogs can be mostly off the lead. Nice tea room and farm shop to start or finish with. We parked there and walked down to the church instead of parking on the roadside. Beautiful views.
