M5 Junction 21 dog-friendly pub and dog walk, Congresbury, Somerset
PremiumDescription
The pub is deceptive - bigger inside than you'd think from the car park, and it's strong on food too. The walk is an easy one to find, and dogs get a good off-lead run.

Really useful pit stop - bit f a trek from the motorway but worth it.
Can't spek for the pub as we were wanting to press on and it wasn't mealtime so we parked on the side road.
Directions for the walk are good but only tell part of the story!
Certainly if you walk with the river on your right yu can follow it a good way.
However if you turn left after crossing the weir and go thrugh the metal gate you have an alternative walk alog the river and a whoe labrynth of paths across several fields - absolutely perfect for off lead ball fetching etc
A great wak, really glad we know its there

We had a great walk here, and could have walked for a lot further with paths heading off in different directions. It was great to let the dogs off the lead almost immediately and they had a proper leg stretch. There are a few dog friendly pubs in the village, we also got reasonably priced petrol.
