Lovely easy walk on gravelled paths around a very large country park. Lots of access to the River Lostock running through which the dog loved. We were there for about 2 hours and only saw a fraction of the place.
Visitors can take advantage of 10 miles of footpaths on the Park. There is a bridleway, a cycleway (part of Lancashire County Council's route 55) and a lake. Toilets are available at the visitors centre. There is a small charge for parking.
Getting there: Exit the m6 north bound at junction 28 and follow the B5256 over one roundabout and onto sheep hill lane. small car park on your left.
Loads of paths inside the park

Excellent motorway stop
Really great walk - fine for off lead and lots of other dog walkers there. The directions could be a little clearer. Basically when you come off the M6 North - you need to turn right and follow signs to Cuersen Valley Park. You cross 2 small roundabouts and when you come to a dip in the road - the car park is on your left.
