Description
This is ideal dog walking country and there is plenty of space for doggy romping around the copses and grassland. There are benches for picnics or a breather with a good view of the canal and surprisingly green surroundings.
Details
Free car park, with access for large vehicles. Gates are locked 30 minutes before sunset.
Walk
Leave the car park to walk past the entrance to the Three Sisters go-kart circuit. At the brown footpath sign there is a choice of routes, with the lower bridleway to the left being flat and gravelled, which might be navigable by some wheelchairs.
The right path, signed Arena View, leads uphill and skirts the race circuit. A sturdy wire fence protects your dog from danger. After 10 minutes or so, leave the path and head onto the wide open grassy heathland. This is ideal dog walking country and there is plenty of space for doggy romping around the copses and grassland. There are benches for picnics or a breather with a good view of the canal and surprisingly green surroundings.
