For those who wish for a long beach and a dog-friendly pub close by, this is as good as it gets. There is a choice of walking along the sand or over dunes to view a martello tower. From the bar you can enjoy watching the ferry cross the narrow stretch of water to Co Donegal.

Walk
As the pub is right by the beach, this could not be any easier. Simply head down the steps and there you are on a long sandy. This is a dogs delight and they will love dashing around and splashing in the Atlantic Ocean. For those who prefer a bit of history, there is a martello tower on the dune behind the beach.
