Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Marbury dog walks near Comberbach, Cheshire

Description

This beautiful park is a great place for dogs to visit. It's a really tranquil place which has glorious woodlands and lakeside walks as well as formal gardens in the grounds of a former manor house. A member has (March 2019) commented that the park is being spoiled for everyone by a few irresponsible owners not picking up waste/bags. There are plenty of bins so please use them!

Details

GPS coords for car park: 53.2825, -2.5230  WC+disabled, snack van, picnic area, children's play area. There are plenty of dog poo bins and a field has been set aside for dogs. Pay and display car park

Walk

There are loads of paths to follow here and many of them are in good condition. The woodlands are dense and glorious, and the view across the lake is also memorable. The North Cheshire Way is accessible from here, but there are miles of paths to explore without leaving the park.  Visitors with restricted mobility will probably find it easier around the more formal areas. In the woods there are plenty of benches, many of which have been imaginatively carved.

One of the best dog walking areas in Cheshire

I loved this country park for walking my dog - there's a lot to see and lots of different habitats for them (and us) to explore. The arboretum is very pretty and I love the reed walk around the western side of the lake to a lovely viewpoint. Roger was fascinated with the smells in the watery reed areas. The woodlands are full of squirrels so he had great fun chasing them and trying to climb trees! Also, a very attractive place to see in autumn when all the trees are changing colour. Would recommend anyone to stop here.

The food truck is excellent and serves epic breakfast balms all day as well a lovely range of loose leaf tea!

Great to see so many dog bins - a big plus. And the toilets are well serviced too!

Oh and there's a small dog agility area there which I had great fun trying to get Roger to attempt! Can't wait to return...
