Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Edited: 31st August 2021

Otterburn Mills cafe and dog-friendly shop, Northumberland

A mill complex now housing a cafe, dog-friendly shop and tourist information. Plus a grassy picnic area with tables and free parking.  If you follow the sign behind the shop, you'll see what it means to be 'on tenterhooks'!

Dogs welcome in the shop, and they have a range of dog beds and dog toys. The shop mainly sells outdoor and country clothing for adults and children, with good discounts.

The mill is a starting point for a ramble around the village and onto the hills beyond. We found that there were too many sheep for off-lead exercise, and you need to be in wellies (we weren't).  The directions are on a board by the picnic area, and then at strategic points along the walk.
