Redditch has a bit of an off-putting road system, but it's worth trusting your satnav to get you to this linear country park for a break. The park is within easy reach of the M42 Junction 3, and also the A435, and the A441 to Bromsgrove. Much bigger than it appears to be at first sight, dogs can really enjoy the 600 acres of great walkies space. It's popular with local dog-walkers, and a lovely place to enjoy a break from driving.
Large visitor centre with a full range of facilities and information. Refreshments, WC (+disabled), shop, and lots going on. Opening hours: Summer (Apr-Oct) 1000-1700; Winter (Nov -Mar) 1000-1630. One wheelchair available for hire. There are eight car parks in all, and the directions here are for the one by the visitor centre. If you plan on frequent visits there's a car park leaflet at the visitor centre that explains how to get to the other ones. Note: height restriction of 2.1m to car parks
There are four waymarked trails, and these all start from the visitor centre. Most of the park is accessible for buggies and scooters, but up to the minute information will be available from the staff in the visitor centre. Along with maps of the park.
