Dogs on leads are welcome here, in the first defensive fort built by the Romans as they landed on British shores in the year 43. Even after nearly 2000 years a massive wall segment is still standing, and it's an amazing place to visit.
English Heritage members free, non-members entry £6.50 (2018). Family tickets available - check website for details and open/closing times.
WCs+disabled in the car park. Free parking. Picnic tables. Shop and museum (no dogs).
