Sedgemoor Services dog walk, Somerset

Premium

Description

Another dog-pleaser of a walk dog starting at the motorway services, but well-hidden from public view. This is a dry, summer walk and gets well muddy after rain.

Easy Stole and Pee Stop

Large outside lawn picnic area makes it idea if travelling with pets/children as this is fenced in. There is also a hedged green space behind this for a quick dog shuffle. In addition, if you walk to the end of the service road and take a left, there is a gate with a SEDGEMOOR sign on it. This offers a quick five minute circuit if you don't have time for a longer walk but your dog needs more than a squat on grass.

Only wish as much thought and consideration had gone into the services food choices for humans - sandwiches, pie or McDonalds!

Brilliant for dogs and humans

This was our last stop before arriving in Bodmin and it was the best by far for both the humans and the doggos.

There’s a dedicated picnic area just off the main car park and the dogs have the choice of a small field to roam (on lead) or a very well signposted walk along the river. The motorway is very safely on the other side of the trees and the sound was muted enough that even our nervous pup was able to walk without reacting to the cars whizzing past

We were able to avoid the curious cows and walk the many field boundries, beware of the muddy ditches under the hedge rows (we were try to keep our dog clean!) definately a good idea to be wearing wellies in anything but very dry weather, but the dog enjoyed it
