Stunning Scenery!

Truly a stunning walk.

Respectful owners & dogs. The carpark is a bit tight to get in and out of. But we managed ok!

There are ponds and the expectation that you have your dog on the lead due to the birds. Which is a fair request. Its very open & the opportunity to go onto Brierley Park & other trails.

There are no bins on the route (obviously!) But there is a bin in the car park. Please dont use this as an excuse not to pick up your poops!

Excellent walk 15 mins from the M1

This former colliery site has been excellently restored to a forest with different walking paths. We visited in October after a heavy downpour and it wasn't too muddy. It's very popular with other dog walkers too. Just a 15 minute drive from the M1.
