Slapton Sands dog-friendly beach, Devon

Description

Miles of shingle beach, and dogs allowed all year round.  The beach has a poignant past as over 1000 allied sevicemen were killed here over a few days by 'friendly-fire' in a rehearsal for the D-Day landings.
