Fabulous romping ground for dogs, in highly dog-friendly Forestry Commission woodland. Handy for a doggiestop from the A1 and the A17.
Free parking. Easy access trail.
There's a signed trail through the woodland on clear and well-maintained paths. And also the possibility to strike out into the woodland, where there are many other clear paths to follow.

Lots of options
Sign into car park appears a little abruptly so watch out for it.
A lovely spot. A wide variety of walk options available, with a mixture of well surfaced paths and more natural paths with accompanying puddles and mud. Quite a few cars in the car park but we saw hardly anyone in the woods.

Great place just off A17 to let the dog off for a stretch of legs, just a shame people can’t take their litter and dog mess home with them - there was a lot!
