Stockgrove Country Park, Bedfordshire
Description
Perched on the Greensand Ridge, Stockgrove park is partly grassland and partly ancient woodland. It's a nice mix of the two. There's also a lake with some Mandarin ducks in full control.
Details
P&D car park. Wheelchair hire available (call Rangers in advance). Plenty of dog poo bins.
Walk
A good choice of walk routes here, all tidily signed. The path around the lake is hard surfaced, and buggy/wheelchair friendly. Other options include a trail around the woodlands, or joining the Greensand trail. Dogs need to be carefully controlled in Baker's Wood, also a site of scientific interest.

Car park is compulsory £2 on exit, no change from machine at barrier. A favourite with local dogs and owners. Many trails including connection with nearby Rushmere Country Park which has its own cafe and larger car park, also £2.
