With your back to the front door turn left from the Baker Arms and then bear right, Upper Street. (This is quite a boring bit of road walking, and you can also drive up and park in the small pull-in by a postbox and dog bin). Turn right onto a bridlepath just past Oasis and then bear right and this track will take you onto Hambledon Hill. It's an exciting ancient monument with views, and a really imposing, brooding presence. Perfect for a picnic, kite-flying and dog walking.
