Walk

From the car park go across the footbridge, turning left onto the canal towpath.    Continue along the towpath; you can spot a variety of water birds here, and you may be blessed enough to spot kingfishers. Your four-legged-friend can enjoy a swim in the canal on hot days as there are plenty of entry and exit points.   Continue under Sellake Bridge.

At Greenway Bridge, leave the canal through the swing gate.   Turn right and walk a short distance down the road. Before you reach the main road go through the waymarked gate on the right, following the path, which bears round to the right, then left. This can be very muddy in wet weather. If this is the case you can reach the farm shop from the main road; avoid the waymarked gate and instead turn right at the end of the road (but be careful this is a main road without footpaths) and you will reach the Farmshop after about 300 yards.

Refreshments can be found in the Halberton Court Farm Shop and the Swan's Neck Cafe here.   From the Farm shop, turn right and cross the road passing the bus shelter. Cross the road and look for the waymarked path just after the layby marked 'funeral parking only'.   Follow this gravelled path until you reach the canal again. Turn right here and you will find yourself back at Tiverton bridge where you started.

The whole 18km stretch of towpath is wonderful and can be checked out here
