Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Torrs Riverside Park dog walk, Derbyshire

Short dog walk, with lots to occupy people as well as dogs. The park is a linear park that runs along the valleys of the Goyt and Sett rivers, and has the impressive Torrs Gorge in it. There's a stretch of metal walkway which some dogs might find scary.

It's worth stopping at the New Mills Info centre to get more info about the community hydro project before you start.

Follow the path around the park, it's not huge but dogs will love the river. There are two marked routes, and these start from the car park on Waterside Road.

Excellent and interesting

Lots of dog off-lead time. Good picnic area. New Mills Town has excellent facilities - coffee, takeaways, Sainsburys. Very pretty walk even during dull weather.

Interesting industrial town history to learn about.

The Torrs Riverside Park is worth a visit.
