Trails, lough and a comforting warm coffee shop, NI

Description

A chance to experience one of the natural highlights of the area and then warm up at the National Trust coffee shop.

Details

Getting there: Leave M1 motorway at Junction 2 (Stockman's Lane). Take the A55 (Outer Ring), signposted Falls. Access from Divis Road, off Upper Springfield Road. Signposted from Monagh Road Parking at the cafe and also a few meters further along the lane where the other trails start from. You'll need a RADAR key for the disabled WC.

Walk

The lough trail starts from opposite the coffee barn.  The best views come from the vantage point at the top of the Black Mountain (where the TV transmitters are) and the National Trust have devised a route called the Black Mountain trail to get you up there and back https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/divis-and-the-black-mountain/trails/divis-and-the-black-mountain-summit-trail
