Popular and well-planned country park that lies within the Sherwood Forest woodlands.
Visitor Centre, dog poo bins. Car park closes at dusk.
The paths inside this large country park have been well-designed to create a circular route that takes in the lake near the car park, and then up the hill for a view of the colliery headstocks.
It's worth taking a look at these well preserved towers of local industrial heritage before they are demolished.
