Absolutely the best place to get a panoramic view of 'Shakespeare' country, and lots of space for dogs to run, roll and sniff.
Look out for the fabulous Elizabethan chimneys of the Welcombe Hotel when you look down from the obelisk.
Free parking in a small pull-in on Ingon Lane, space for about 4-5 cars.
Walk up to the obelisk - it's enormous when you're directly under it - and plunge into the fields and woodland ahead. There are loads of different pathways, all nicely signed, and plenty of traces of countryside critturs to keep any dog's nose busy for ages.
More dog walks from Stratford-upon-Avon and nearby are in our book - Walks in Shakespeare Country. The walks are specially designed for dog walkers and all start from a dog-friendly pub.
