Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Whitelee Wind Farm, Strathclyde, Scotland

Description

This seems a rather strange place to take the dog for a walk but, with over 90km of paths to explore, even the most energetic dog will be able to run itself to a standstill.

Walk

If there's one thing this site has, then it's wind turbines... lots of wind turbines. After all, this is Europe's largest inland wind farm. It's a huge, wild area and most of the paths are unsigned. But with 90km of paths to follow, it's also a fantastic place to walk. A full circular around the lake is an 8km walk on its own. There's also plenty of forests and moorland to scamper around, so dogs will be delighted with the place.
