We came here on a miserable rainy day in January, and the car park was a muddy quagmire - so definitely put the wellies and dog towel in if the weather's wet! The walk is good for senior dogs or the less energetic, and probably picnic-worthy in the summer.
Cafe, WCs, plant and gift shops in the converted stables. National Trust property, with varying opening hours and entry charges for the Hall. The park is open every day . Check their website for full details.
NT members park free, or P&D non-members.
There are a number of well signed walks from the stables block, and acres of open space to enjoy. The following dog rules have been excerpted from the National Trust website for Wimpole Hall: "Dogs are only allowed in the Park on leads. Only Registered Assistance Dogs are allowed in the Hall, Gardens and Farm. Wimpole welcomes responsible dog owners. Please keep your dog close by and under control. Always use a short, 2 metre lead. 1 March - 31 July when birds lay their eggs on the ground (CRoW Act 2000); and near farm animals - all year round. Please keep dogs out of the lakes and ponds. Clear up after your dogs and use the bins provided near the Stable Block. Only Registered Assistance Dogs are permitted in the Hall, Gardens & Farm."
