Walk
The S.W. coast path runs behind and along the beach. A good long walk is to head past Putsborough to Baggy Point and then Croyde. Dogs are fine on the Woolacombe side of Putsborough beach and the cafe there is dog-friendly. After Baggy Point there's a National Trust cafe by the car park and it's dog-friendly too.

This is one of the safest and best beaches for walking the dog. There is 3 miles of firm sand split into three zones (very clearly signed). As you enter the beach to the right NO dogs are allowed at all. To the left, dogs allowed ON LEAD only until you reach the rocks. From the rocks our four legged friends can have the time of their life, OFF LEAD heading towards Putsburgh.

I think it should read North Devon, near Barnstable ,Staunton Sands. This is one of the great beaches of SW England.
