Large and popular 1,400 acre country park just off the A3. There are plenty of facilities to satisfy everyone, off-lead dog walking can be restricted in some areas as there are sheep and deer.
To get a real feel for a traditional canal-side pub (but much cleaner!) this is the one to head for. Incredibly the pub has been run by the same family for over 150 years, which must be a record.
Great Dog Cafe in the middle of Clumber Park. Mats and wall hooks for fastening your dog too. Dog Treats and Dog Ice Cream Available. Comfy Seats for us Humans. Coffee Garden out back
A sleepy sort of village near the A303 with a choice of walks and a dog-friendly pub. Just the thing when you and the dog need to take a break.
A handy pitstop on the A303 with on-lead dog exercising and sublime truckers breakfast. Not scenic, but very convenient and easy for caravans.
An historic village with a characterful dog-friendly pub, small shops and tea shops, and an easy walk down to the coast and the S.W. Coast path.
A 400 year old inn, in a pretty village - and a good place for a dog walk and a break if the M4 is losing its charm. It's also less than 5 miles from the M48 and the M5.
Hugely popular as a tourist destination, dogs also have the chance of excellent walks by the river and across fields.
Warm and extremely welcoming dog-friendly pub. We called in on a mid-week lunchtime and found a busy and thriving atmosphere. For a village inn, this one definitely punches above its weight.
Quaint little rural inn with a welcoming feel, blazing fire in winter and outside tables for summer. Dogs get a good welcome here!
