This is a fabulous place to explore. The park is set in a glacial valley and is a glorious area of woodlands, lakes and pastureland, and the countryside is gorgeous.
A cooling woodland dog walk with the chance to enjoy either a short walk to break your journey, or a full circular walk before Sunday lunch at the nearby dog-friendly pub.
A large car park gives you direct access onto a former railway lane, now re-purposed as a multi-user path. It's shared by cyclists and horse-riders in an amicable way.
Local legends say that this valley was created by the Devil.
A peaceful nature reserve where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of birdsong and chirruping insects. It's a delightful spot for a gentle stroll with the dog and a picnic.
Lots for dogs to enjoy in the 235 acres of this gorgeous park. Much of it is wild meadow (avoid in hay fever season if you're a sufferer).
Great pub with rooms situated at Porlock Weir on the South West Coast Path. Great place to rest weary feet and paws and be made very welcome. Good dinner and breakfast and all made very welcome.

This is a really old place indeed, and was originally a resting place for monks from the nearby Jervaulx Abbey.
A lovely expanse of heathland which is great for dogs. This is part of the large network of nature reserves Suffolk and dogs should be on leads during bird nesting times, roughly March to August.
