One of the youngest country parks this is a favourite with local dog walkers, Apedale was once an opencast mine and has now been returned to nature.
Easy to follow circular path around the Reservoir. Dogs adore this mix of woodland, tracks and good sniffs. On a warm day, it's worth taking a map and sandwiches and making a day of it here.
