Denshaw dog-friendly coaching inn, Lancashire
A former coaching inn with a warm and cosy atmosphere. It has changed hands recently, so do leave a review if you live locally! It's on a junction of several major roads and very easy to spot.

A warm and dog-welcoming country inn with a blazing fire in cold weather, and a real haven from a biting Yorkshire wind.
We quite often stop here on the way to Kirkby Lonsdale and fill our lungs up with fine Yorkshire air, and enjoy the feel of a very traditional and unspoiled village.
A rather nice walk exploring a Victorian railway and then a canal towpath. The pup loved her walk here and it is an ideal easy-access walk.
The dog-friendly pub here is a step back in time to the 1850s with a quirky and really lovely old building. You can almost still hear the shouts of stagecoach drivers and ostlers across the heathland.
A towpath walk along the side of the Macclesfield canal. Ideal for an off-lead walk with nothing for a dog to chase.
With a relatively big parking fee you'll want to spend a good while at Chatsworth to get your money's worth. Especially as some areas, including the house are off-limites to dogs.
A leafy picnic spot with the chance to explore the moors nearby with the dog.
A happy dog-friendly cafe and a walk along a pretty canal with woodland glades.
Just outside the town of Ashbourne is a handy-to-know vet practice with plenty of parking, and a dog-friendly pub and a Lidl supermarket nearby.
Close to the little town of Bellingham, this is a great place to stop to give the dog a run.
A camping site with access to dog walks through the Bellister Estate and also swimming in the Tyne. One of the best dog walks at a campsite we've found. You can also park nearby for just the walks.
