Traditional and roomy pub, on the A149 and opposite an imposing village church.
Extraordinary village with purpose built holiday homes completed just before 1914. Today it looks like a film set and is a joy to wander around and channel some early 20th century elegance.
Tourist village with a large sandy and dog-friendly beach, and inland dog walk too. Restrictions for dogs apply in Summer on the north section of the beach, the rest is fine.
When the tide is out this is a perfect way to enjoy a walk with the dog to the immensely popular village of Robin Hood's Bay.
Big open beach at low tide, but almost completely submerged at high tide. Dogs are allowed all year round.
Ever popular little fishing village with a long dog-friendly beach and no restrictions. Total doggie perfection for beach games and swimming.
Dog allowed beaches in France A nice mix of grass and lovely white sand, and plenty of space for everyone. You'll need to take picnic food and drinks down with you as there are no shops at the beach.
Plenty of running space for dogs here, with just a few restrictions in the summer at the National Trust end of the beach.
A great beach for dog walking off the A9 on the Black Isle. There's free car parking at both Chanonry Point and Rosemarkie but it can get busy in the summer.
Outstanding beach for dogs - and children of all ages, 8 to 80! Miles of glistening golden sands, with a dog restriction for the central section of the beach in summer.
Interesting beach - all along the beach are the concrete pillboxes used during the war. The beach stretches from Findhorn right through to Burghead.
