We love stopping at this dog-friendly pub near Colsterworth as a respite from the A1. The farm shop is great for stocking up on self-catering essentials too.
Stunning countryside with loads and loads of paths. It's close to the M5 and the A49 and on a clear day this is hard to beat for a dog walk.
Bit of an exciting break off the A39, and great if you need some space. It's quite a fairly remote sand and shingle beach with no dog restrictions all year.
Dogs with a taste for privilege past and present will enjoy a stroll around a medieval castle keep. It's an atmospheric site and great for visits with kids and dogs.
This dog walk is a fabulous chance to get a snapshot of rural Wiltshire life, and find out what you've been missing on the M4. And the dog-friendly pub is very award-winning.
Warm and welcoming, dog-friendly canalside pub with walkies from the beer garden. New team has taken over (August 2023) and we'll be updating the details soon.

The story of the village here has plenty of drama – from sunken villages to ghosts. It is an outstandingly attractive area, and has been featured in the 'Coast' series on TV.
Fabulous location for a dog-friendly pub and dog walk. On a sunny day this is hard to beat for dog and diner satisfaction, and so it does get very busy indeed.
