Coast path, beach and dog-friendly hotel, Lancashire
We were here on quite a stormy day and the dog-friendly hotel was a welcome refuge! Dogs are welcome to stay in the hotel too. The beach is dog-friendly and ideal for a quick walk.

A charming slice of Suffolk history here, with fine buildings built on the profits of the wool trade. If you visit the National Trust house then dogs have to be on leads because of the sheep.
Proof that kerb-appeal isn't everything. This is a dog-friendly railway pub with great food, slick service and a massively positive vibe. You wouldn't guess that from the outside in a million years.
Very atmospheric 16th century black and white village inn with a dog walk from the door.
The walk here is all about views, altitude and the wind. It's a short drive from the pub and you could easily spend all day on the roof of the Downs.
A traditional, family and dog-friendly pub near Colnbrook village and 2 minutes from Junction 14 of the M25. Access to a lovely walk from the car park.
Pub is at the edge of doggie wonderland and is, basically, a treasure. Amazing walks.
New Forest village with shops, tea shop, ice-cream and a number of large car parks. The dog walk is a safe romp around a hill for the dogs.
Country dining in a popular pub right opposite the village church. Parts of the pub look like an old barn (in a good rustic way) and the garden seems to have once been an orchard.
Stylish traditional dining pub near Melton Mowbray, and close to the A46. Good as a friends' meeting up place, and welcoming for families and dogs.
Sun-kissed Cotswold stone and a picture perfect dog-friendly coaching inn makes this tiny village a lovely spot to take a break. And the dog walk is good too.
Very easy country pub to find on the Daventry Road, and ideal for a doggie pitstop. The walk is lovely on a sunny day, but can get very muddy in wet weather.
