A very hospitable seaside town for dogs and their owners, with plenty of walking space on the beach and two dog-friendly pubs with rooms, and cafes as well. Terrific, especially when the sun shines.
If you're travelling on the Stena Ferry to Holland from the UK your dog will enjoy a good long coastal walk before you get on the ferry.

Hotel on the river. Dogs are welcome in the bar and may sit with you at the outside tables. We couldn't find a walk here, the always pleasant river path is on the other side of the river.

Broad Chalke is a delightful village in the beautiful Chalke Valley and has been the home of the great and good including Terry Pratchett and Cecil Beaton amongst others.
What an extraordinary place. This is the only pub in the country with a fully-functioning rifle range in the bar. The welcome is warm and the walk is fun so there is lots for everyone to enjoy.
