We love to see life returning to old pubs, and the lively team here have achieved miracles in just a few years.
An interesting spot to walk a desperate dog, in an immaculately kept village with mainly thatched cottages nesteld around the skirts of the Hall. It's a rare glimpse of the England of nostalgia.
A wonderful place to take a break from the A52 with a choice of fab dog walks, super tea rooms, plenty of parking and lots of heritage interest too. Loads of space for kids to let off steam too.
A quiet and atmospheric woodland walk with a feast of bluebells in spring, and very few people around.
Stylish and welcoming pub with rooms not too far away from Derby. We were very taken with the dog-friendliness, fulsomely endorsed by two families with pooches staying there at the time!
Very atmospheric dog walk with plenty to see, not only the birds in the reserve but also some fascinating marshes and low land drainage (really!). It's like a different world.
Just outside the town of Ashbourne is a handy-to-know vet practice with plenty of parking, and a dog-friendly pub and a Lidl supermarket nearby.
A traditional and welcoming pub in the heart of rural Derbyshire. Not too far from Derby, this is a great place to spend some quiet time with your family and dog.
Perched on the bank of the River Dove, this dog-friendly pub is a great place to explore the waggyful White Peak area. There are dog-friendly rooms too.
