Plenty to entertain drivers, families and dogs here, with a dog-friendly castle where Mary Tudor went for glory, a choice of dog-friendly pubs and an historic town with brightly painted houses.
A marvellous village with a castle, two dog-friendly pubs and best of all a fantastically atmospheric dog walk beside the river. Definitely worth a visit for a taste of Suffolk.

An award winning and dog-friendly pub, set in a quintessentially Suffolk village. Expect to see thatched cottages in abundance and an enormous church, with a gloriously crooked house next to it.
A car park, cafe, clean WCs and a choice of fabulous walks in a near hidden gem on the river. Excellent fish and chips in the cafe.
Stunning 600-year old building, complete with priesthole, witch marks and incredible timbers. It's dog-friendly of course, and well worth a visit just to soak in the atmosphere.
As well as a long, long beach with loads of dogs and no restrictions, you could also take a boat trip here. Or take the seasonal foot ferry to nearby Walberswick.
A wonderful pub in a rural part of Sussex which seems to epitomise the England of dreams. It is close to Newmarket and needs to be visited for some relaxing downtime.
A gentle woodland walk through a nature reserve. Birds were singing loud Spring songs when we were here and it's a pleasant short walk and change of scene.
Great forest walks just off the A11 in Thetford Forest Park. Very popular with dog walkers and has a small free carpark, with other parking available in laybys along the road.
