The story of the village here has plenty of drama – from sunken villages to ghosts. It is an outstandingly attractive area, and has been featured in the 'Coast' series on TV.
Massive beach, with a fringe of pebbles and then acres of sand. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. The DwD team were here in August - and the beach was practically deserted.
Vast beach and excellent for dogs and football/cricket players. On the afternoon we took the photos here at the start of the school holidays (August) there was one other car on the beach.
The beach is shingly and can have a strong aroma from the seaweed. Dogs are allowed on the beach from late September to late April.

Another fantastically huge sandy and dog-friendly beach, accessed on a walkway through protected dunes. The beach is divided roughly in half, with dogs allowed on one side all year round.
