Dog walk with a great view, sent in by Tony Webb.
Miles and miles of empty beach. Doggie delight on a grand scale. Also traces of the Romans who used to be billetted here as part of the coastal defences.
At Mow Cop, the folly gives you 360-degree views of the Staffordshire moorlands and the Cheshire Plain. The dogs love it here.
Tranquil circular walk out along canal and back around sea wall with lunch or tea stop at the end!
This enchanting and beautiful valley is a haven for dog walkers, nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity and spectacular scenery.
Sandy dog-friendly beach within easy reach of shops, cafes and facilities. There are seasonal dog restrictions, but the area by Naze Tower is good all year round.
Fairly gentle uphill walk through lovely Snowdonia scenery to a lake well hidden from the road. Can get muddy after heavy rainfall.
Portheras Cove is a delightful little beach near Pendeen. There's a problem though - once you've been stung for parking, and clambered down the cliff path to reach the beach you'll see two signs.
We stumbled upon this fabulous little wood completely by mistake, and what a hidden gem it is! Looked after by the city council, this is a haven where beetles can busily burrow into rotting stumps...
A locals beach a couple of miles along the promenade from Blackpool Tower and Piers. Dog friendly all year round but subject to tides (sea comes right up to sea wall at high tide).
