Very large pub
We did not go the woods, but there was a walk right next to the pub and a shallow clean stream.
The lion pub has a massive outdoor seating area and welcomes dogs inside.

Easy walking
Not far off the A30 and a large (pay) car park next to numerous walks and a cafe. The paths are very well maintained and suitable for pushchairs. Lots of different circular walks and streams for dogs to paddle in.
We did a walk, had lunch and then did another walk. Also a Morrison’s fuel and shop nearby.

Great place for dogs and children
This is an inland lake set up as a beach on one side with a walk all around the lake. There is amble parking (some on the other side of the road and walk through a foot tunnel). Very clean water - dogs can swim in certain areas (out the way)
Just up the road is a supermarket with cheap fuel.
