M6 Junction 13 dog walk with refreshments, Staffordshire
This is a delightfully rural canal side walk, even though the roar of the traffic on the M6 motorway is never far away.

Very easy to get to from the M42, and a nice dog-friendly pub - but the walk is almost non-existent. On the other hand, if you've been stuck in traffic this could well be a useful doggiestop.
A really good family and dogstop less than 2 miles from the M40. Jem got a lovely welcome here, and we all enjoyed the walk.
There's a choice of two walks here, one along the banks of the Thames and the other through a nature reserve. Both walks pass a civilised pub where you'll find decent coffee and good service.
