Large (at low tide) uncrowded beach that's particularly popular with dog owners. No restrictions on canine access.
Check the tide tables before you go, and be very careful where you park.
Interesting beach - all along the beach are the concrete pillboxes used during the war. The beach stretches from Findhorn right through to Burghead.
A good wide stretch of beach suitable for under control dogs. It is a flagged beach so dog owners should always clean up after their dogs in all areas of the beach & car park (Bins supplied).
Beautiful beach, river walk and also cycle path nearby.
A popular walking and swimming spot with local dog people, facilities for visitors are limited.
Dogs allowed on the beach all year round, and there's a dog-friendly cafe too.
My favourite beach for playing when visiting Blackpool. Sand dunes and lots of running space. You don't need to check tide times as the beach entrance never seems to get closer than around 0.
Beach walk sandy and stony. Beach has Blue Flag status. Photograph of Betra peninsula from summit of Croag Patrick
Walk through pine trees and lots of sand down to the water. Dogs and horses go down there.
The walk starts at a cafe where dogs are more than welcome. There are plenty of water bowls and the tables have rings so that you can safely attach your dogs leads.
Nothing here, except a car park and the beach. Perfect. The photos here were taken on a baking hot Tuesday in summer and still the beach was completely deserted - wow!!
Sandy dog-friendly beach at the end of the Llyn peninsula. Some restrictions on dogs in the summer, leaving plenty of space away from the beach areas nearest to the car park.
