An extraordinary inn that is a real survivor from the 14th century. If history is your thing, then the building alone is worth a visit. And you can bring the dog in, take a break and enjoy the local hospitality too.

Large car park. Near Waitrose there's a 14th century Pele tower. Another sign of the need for protection during the fighting between Scotland and England in the 14th century.
