One of the most joyful dog-friendly country inns in the area, with lovely doggie treats and lots of cuddles.  The interior is spacious and comfortable so that drivers and dogs can really feel relaxed and happy in either the snug with fat sofas in front of a wood-burner, or one of the medieval-style dining halls. It's a shortish drive from Kendal and well worth the effort.
