Well worth investigating, maybe more so if you live locally and are looking for good, friendly service and food after a long walk in the Wyre Forest. Still, it's on the A456 and easy to find and will suit many drivers on their way to or from the Midlands and the coast.
With the pub behind you, turn left and walk the short distance down the road to the village hall. Turn left onto a signed public footpath opposite and this brings you into fields. Walk straight ahead, with the hedgerow on your left. When this stops, keep going and then bear very slightly to the right. You should reach a stream, and this is where to turn round for a one-mile walk.
If you're looking at a map app, you'll see that there's another path from behind the church. On the day Jem and I tried this route to Wisset's Wood there was a large herd of nosey cows in the first field and we felt dangerously out-numbered. The walk does look good and if anyone has local knowledge to avoid the cow field that would be great!
