Posh pooch dining and walkies near the M6 Junction 17, Cheshire
PremiumDescription
Super special Grade 1 listed pub, once called home by the Lord of the Manor. So if dog-friendly dining in style makes your posh pooch happy, head for the Old Hall. The walk is short, and worth combining with a stroll around the town to see more extraordinary buildings.

Can’t believe there is something so nice so close to the M6. We ate in lovely courtyard garden - inside of the building looks so atmospheric. Food was excellent and staff lovely. We had a quick walk through the graveyard and town to keep our furry friend happy

Great pub!
The pub is lovely, and obviously dog friendly. Be careful when going down. the steps opposite the pub, as mentioned in the description. When they are covered with leaves (as we found the. today) they are very slippery. You can walk down the road a few yards and double back to the same spot to avoid them.
Also, the track for the walk is pretty much diagonally across from you , to the right, at the bottom of the steps. If you walk down the road in front of you, you get to the lake, but it’s private property, owned by an anglers’ club , and they don’t welcome dog walkers.
