Wheata Woods is very old woodland, and you can really feel that the trees have seen plenty of history. Dogs will enjoy the deep snuffling to be had, and the shade is ideal for hot days - or to shelter from the rain.

Walk
From the Wheata Woods car park it's a straightforward path/bridleway into the woods. The bridleway and footpath diverge after a few minutes' walking, and the path bears right through a couple of wooden gates through a field and then back into woodland.
