This historic village is a fantastic place for dogs, and kids of all ages from 4 to 94. The dunes and beach behind the massive castle are wide and spacious enough for the most energetic hound.
5km easy walk along section of canal towpath & return via same route. This walk is also convenient for junctions 6 and 7 of the M80.

Luscious parkland for dogs with a nose for the high life, This is a National Trust property with an enormous park (dogs on leads near deer) and access to the river.
Handy pub car park for a walk by the canal. The pub closed suddenly in July 2025. We hope new owners will take over soon, but meanwhile it's a good walk. Close to the M42 and the M40.
